14 March 2010 - Mothers Day

For Mothers Day we headed over to Loch Venachar for coffee and a cake at the Harbour Cafe. This is the view across the loch.

While this is the side of the cafe.

Surreally on the way home we passed a decorated Christmas tree in the middle of nowhere. Folks can be strange in the country.

13 March 2010 - Scotland v England

Today we headed off to Meggatland to watch the Scotland v England womens rugby international. Not a normal weekend outing for us however Anges niece now plays for Scotland so she wanted to support her - I was under strict instructions not to wear my England shirt or to vocally support England.

At half time I spotted a potential substitute for Scotland.

The scoreline tells the story.

13 March 2010 - Hill

12 March 2010 - Hill

The morning after the night before.

Its looking messy - Ange wont be happy.

11 March 2010 - Hill

Tonight as Ange was going out for a meeting I noticed that the drive seemed awfully wet.

Looking over at the hill, something seemed amiss.

Upon closer inspection it became obvious, the hill was leaking.

07 March 2010 - RSA Edinburgh

Today we headed into Edinburgh to be "arty". There were a couple of exhibitions on at the RSA that we wanted to see and of everything we looked at, I liked the graphic art stuff the most.

06 March 2010 - UFO

Oh no, the aliens turned up today to select this years Christmas tree for their planet.

04 March 2010 - Sunset

The snow was still there but the sun had been out today. Everytime I see a sunset in Kinbuck I remind myself just how fortunate we are to be living in such a great location. These pictures of the sun setting over the farms are just lovely.

01 March 2010 - Cake

Happy Birthday Andrew. And what better way to celebrate it than a nice home made Victoria Sandwich with of course your name on it.

26 February 2010 - Extreme cooking

With no electricity drastic measures were called for. No more gourmet meals tonight it was out with the borrowed camping stove and on with the baked beans. Yum!!!

25 February 2010 - Snow

Well the snow arrived with a vengence. Nearly a foot of it fell overnight and made for a nice surprise the next morning.

and that wasn't the only surprise. The snow had taken down some powerlines so we were without electricity. I can confirm it was very cold in the cottage!!!
