15 July 2010 - Oxford

Todays road trip took us to Oxford. First stop was the Ashmolean. I fancy one of these for the garden.

Oxford street scene.

Final view of the Ashmolean.

13 July 2010 - Brighton

Today we headed down to Brighton. The old pier is still looking pretty sorry for itself.

Where did they find all the sewing machines?

12 July 2010 - Polesden Lacey

Today we headed over to Polesden Lacey, a National Trust property. This was in the gardens.

As was this - whatever it is.

A view of the house.

Round the other side of the house, to the right, you can just make out a giant chess board. 10 mins later I'd trounced Amber.

03 July 2010 - Kibble Palace

Today we were in Glasgow, stopped to get a sandwich then ate it outside Kibble Palace - a huge glass house within the botanic gardens which has been recently renovated.

13 June 2010 - Glasgow School of Art

Today we headed to the Glasgow School of Art to have a look at their degree show. While it was interesting, there was very little I'd want on my walls. These gnomes were fun as long as you didn't look too closely at them.

I liked this.

Ange liked this.

Lady outside the cloakroom.

31 May 2010 - Strathyre

Today Amber made a smoothie for a school project. I hope they loved it and I hope you can identify all the fruits.

It being a bank holiday (except for the schools for some reason) Ange & I headed up to Strathyre for a cycle. This is one of the views.

This is where we stopped for lunch.

29 May 2010 - Lambs yet again

Look, they're back again.

Someone isn't happy though.

They're eyeing up the oil tank.

No, can't be bothered, stick with the grass on the hill.

Someones still watching from behind the fence though...

26 May 2010 - Lambs again

These lambs just keep coming back.

The partridges are still aloof.

25 May 2010 - Lambs

Hold up, that sheep is back.

And this time he's brought a mate.

Oops, theres four of them.

Now they've got bored and are heading off to the other side of the cottage.

They don't realise their parents are watching.

The partridges have had enough, they're heading up the road.

24 May 2010 - Partridge

The partridge is back - and he's in a hurry.

23 May 2010 - Newcastle road trip

The end of the weekend meant a final trip in to Morpeth before the road trip back to Scotland begain. This is the Tallantyre gallery where we'd gone to see the Leigh Lambert exhibition.

This was the cafe where we'd had breakfast the day before - unfortunately it was shut on a Sunday morning so we ended up heading to M&S.

Interesting arches.

This was the first place on the coast that we stopped at, I can't find the notebook where I listed all the towns we did stop at though so I can't tell you where it is.

Nice post topping.

Looking out to sea there is this sculpture - no idea whats going on there.

Amber took this pic - she liked the church.

Next stop was at this misty coastal beach.

Drove up a hill and this was the view at the top.

Driving further north we stopped for fish and chips and stood looking out to sea to eat them.

Wandering round the corner we made it into the wee harbour.

Overlooking the harbour at the back of a pub / restaurant were rows of benches.

And filling the benches were rows of people eating fish and chips.

Some castle in the distance.

Next stop off point was Lindisfarne. The sign below warns you of the tides.

So we consulted the tide tables.

While Amber had a good look out to sea to check if the sea was on the way in.

It was too late for us to visit but hopefully we'll get back one day.
